What we’ll do
- We’ll start with a short grounding + simple demo (no pressure, no perfection).
- You’ll create using calming materials and optional prompts (so you’re never “stuck”).
- We’ll close with a gentle reset + optional sharing.
Who it’s for
- Beginners who feel intimidated by traditional art classes
- Busy, time-poor adults who want a creative exhale
- Anyone craving calm, presence, and permission to make art again
What this is / isn’t
This is: calming, guided, beginner-friendly creative time
This isn’t: a loud party class, a strict copy-the-teacher painting, or therapy
What to bring
- Just you (and maybe a water bottle)
- Wear comfortable close you don't mind doing art in
- Everything else provided

What we’ll do
Each week, students will explore a different culture through art.
We’ll learn about traditional art forms from around the world—such as African textiles, Japanese paper arts, Chinese scroll painting, and more—then create original projects inspired by those styles.
Along the way, students will be gently introduced to the elements of art (line, shape, color, texture, value) and principles of design (balance, contrast, pattern, composition), and will actively use them in their work.
The final week will be a special hands-on experience where students learn the basics of gallery curation, matting, and installation—working together to display their artwork in a gallery-style showcase.

- Beginners and experienced young artists alike
- Students who like hands-on learning and exploring new ideas
- Children who enjoy learning about the world through creativity
*No prior art experience is required.
What this is
- A welcoming, inclusive art experience
- A mix of creativity, cultural exploration, and foundational art skills
- Process-focused (not perfection-focused)
- Structured enough to feel supportive, flexible enough to feel fun
What this is NOT
- A rigid or technical art class
- A competitive environment
- A “copy-the-teacher” paint-along
- Art therapy or clinical instruction
* This is about learning, experimenting, and expressing, not getting everything “right.”

- Comfortable clothes that can get messy
- Curiosity and an open mind
