Erin Leigh Boughamer is a professional artist, licensed art educator, and creative entrepreneur based in Massachusetts whose work bridges fine art, education, and community-centered creative experiences. She is the founder and principal artist of Erin Leigh Studios and has spent decades making art that invites connection, reflection, and joy. 

Erin believes art has the power to calm the chaos of everyday life. Her own artistic journey — from structured design to expressive abstraction — reflects her lifelong exploration of balance between precision and freedom, logic and intuition. Through thoughtful composition and texture, she creates pieces that resonate with emotional depth while offering quiet moments of peace. 

Erin’s creative life began early — born into a family of artists, she was encouraged to explore art from childhood. She studied graphic design at the University of Connecticut’s School of Fine Arts, graduating in 1994, and went on to build a multifaceted career that includes teaching, creative entrepreneurship, and fine art. 

Over the years, she has worn many hats — educator, designer, workshop leader, and business owner — always grounded in a belief that art enriches lives and builds community. 

At the heart of Erin’s work is a deep curiosity about the human experience — how we navigate contrast, find balance, and express our inner world through color, line, and form. Her abstract and expressionist works explore the tension between opposing forces and seek to reveal a sense of harmony within apparent chaos. 

Whether she is creating in her studio or teaching in front of a classroom, Erin’s mission remains the same: to inspire others to find their own creative voice and to make space for art as a meaningful part of life.
